Bacolod police arrest six wanted persons

The Bacolod police arrested six wanted persons for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, murder, theft, and sexual abuse on Tuesday, January 9.

The police arrested Freddie Denisa and Aude Medel, who were tagged as wanted persons in a case for violation of R.A. 9165, in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.

The warrants of arrest were issued by Judge Maria Mercedes Odango-Saril of Bacolod Regional Trial Court Branch 54 on Monday.

Recommended bail was fixed at P2,000 for each of the suspects.

Meanwhile, Juramil and Joshua Dela Peña were arrested by the police for alleged murder in Purok Sulom 2, Brgy. Villamonte.

They were arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no bail recommended.

The warrant was issued by Judge Maria Lina Gonzaga of RTC Branch 42 in Bacolod City on Dec. 21, 2023.

In Brgy. Sum-ag, Anthony Alit, another wanted person, was arrested for the alleged sexual abuse/lasciviousness conduct.

Alit was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of R.A. 7610 issued by Judge Maritess Gumahin of RTC-6 Branch 51 in Bacolod City on Dec. 28, 2023, with bail recommended at P180,000.

Mark Anthony Gregorio was also arrested for the crime of theft at Rizal-San Juan streets in Brgy. 12.

The warrant of arrest against the suspect was issued by Micheal Hanz Villaster, acting presiding judge of the Municipal Trial Court Branch 3 in Bacolod City on Dec. 22, 2023, with bail fixed at P10,000.*
