Bacolod pavilion showcases art, culture, community pride

The Bacolod City Pavilion welcomes visitors with art, culture, and community pride at the Panaad sa Negros Festival at the Panaad Park in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The Bacolod Pavilion, with the theme “Bacolod Smiles Shared with the World,” opens its doors with a display of local artistry, community collaboration, and heartfelt storytelling, a press release from, the Bacolod City Tourism Office said Monday, March 24.

A floor mural, “Bacolod Mural Art Walk” painted by Bacolodnon artists, is the pavilion’s centerpiece – depicting the daily life, struggles, and triumphs of Bacolodnons. It is a celebration of resilience, hope, and the joy that defines the City of Smiles, the press release said.

Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and other city officials cut the ribbon at the pavilion opening.

Bacolod barangays are showcasing their products, crafts, and talents at the pavilion, the press release said.

The schedule of events at the Bacolod Pavilion this week are:

  • March 25 (Tuesday): Acoustic Performance
  • March 26 (Wednesday): Community-based Shows
  • March 27 (Thursday): Trashion Show, Art Gallery, Acoustic
  • March 28 (Friday): Government Employees Talent Night
  • March 29 (Saturday): Acoustic Session
  • March 30 (Sunday): Closing Performances by the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos talents.*
