Hospitality stakeholders met with Bacolod Yuhum Foundation (BYF) and Hotel and Restaurant Association of Negros Occidental (HRANO) officials on Thursday, Sept. 26, to discuss their preparations for the MassKara Festival in October that is expected to draw more guests.
BYF officials at the meeting held at Stonehill Suites briefed the more than 100 hospitality stakeholders on the various activities lined up for the festival.
They were also reminded them of the need to ensure good services and cleanliness, and to be ready to accommodate the influx of local and foreign visitors, a press release from BYF said.

“A lot of players are coming in. We have prepared more events and activities this year, so I am expecting that they will take care of their own businesses. Decorate more, invest in their places and elevate the game,“ MassKara chairman Jojie Dingcong said.
More than 215,000 guests arrived in Bacolod during the three-day highlights of the MassKara Festival last year, the press release said.
Dingcong said they are expecting more visitors this year.
The Bacolod hotels, restaurants are all set for MassKara Festival, the press release said.
BYF president Katherine Matiling, secretary Kuster Cadagat and treasurer Jericho Redil, and Bacolod Tourism Officer Teresa Manalili were present at the meeting.*
