Bacolodnon schools to parley for the champion title in pioneer online debate tournament this February 25-27.
Bacolod Debate Open (BDO) 2022 is a debate tournament that is designed to showcase the skills and knowledge of the youth debaters in Negros.
It was established to create a safe platform for progressive educational discussions and further hone the skills of our local debaters.
Alongside the formation of BDO 2022 is the creation of the Negros Occidental Debate Circuit which aims to cater the champions of the tournament and prepare them to compete on national grounds and represent the region in the Philippine Debate Union.
The tournament will be carried out through the Discord platform in Asian Parliamentary format.
Furthermore, the tournament will be hosting a maximum of 50 teams from different institutions across Bacolod City.
All teams will compete simultaneously and the 12 teams that will reign victorious in the preliminary rounds will break into the finals.
All three champions from their respective cups will be granted a secured membership in the Negros Occidental Debate Circuit.
In three days, 50 teams from Senior High School, College, and Graduate School will soar for victory and proclaim their rightful seats as Stormlands Cup Champion, Crownlands Cup Champion, and the Iron Islands Cup, respectively. (PR)
