
The COVID-19 related deaths in Bacolod have hit 13 this year, with two males recorded as the latest fatalities.
Of the 13 casualties, six or almost half died in April, Dr. Anna Maria Laarni M. Pornan, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and Inter-Agency Task Force head, said.
The two latest fatalities were aged 66 and 12, she said.
The 12-year old boy had comorbidities, Pornan added.
Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said he was meeting with City Health Office officials to be updated on the new COVID-12 variant to determine what precautions to take.
