The Bacolod City police arrested a high-value individual and seized approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, with a street value of about P680,000, during a buy-bust operation.
The suspect, identified as Dennis Britania Hojilla, 46, also known as “Beb,” was arrested by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) at 2:53 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, in Purok Lubi, Brgy 3, Bacolod City.
Authorities recovered several items from Hojilla, including the sachet of shabu used in the buy-bust, five additional sachets and one large plastic knot of suspected shabu, P1,000 in marked money, and other non-drug items.
Hojilla will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The seized drugs have been turned over to the Negros Occidental Provincial Forensic Unit for examination, and the suspect remains in custody.*
