Bacolod cops nab suspect, recover stolen motorcycle

The police arrested a Bacolodnon and recovered a stolen motorcycle in Brgy. 40, Bacolod City, on Wednesday night, Nov. 19, following a carnapping complaint earlier that evening.

The complainant told Police Station 1 that at around 7:15 p.m., he discovered his motorcycle missing from where he had parked it outside his boarding house along San Sebastian Street, Purok Bagong Kilos, Brgy. 13.

The stolen unit was a Black Euro Sport R 125.

A follow-up operation was immediately conducted by Station 1 personnel, who later spotted the stolen motorcycle being driven along Hernaez Street in Brgy. 40.

Police identified the rider as Rodel Bargola, also known as “Bebe,” 26, single, and a resident of Purok Katilingban, Brgy. 40.

Officers blocked the vehicle, apprehended Bargola, and recovered the motorcycle, which was positively identified by the complainant.

The motorcycle’s chassis and engine number matched the complainant’s report.

Charges for carnapping are being prepared, the police said.*
