Bacolod cops nab high-value drug suspect with P714K in shabu

Bacolod  City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU)  policemen arrested a female “High-Value Individual” and seized approximately 105 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 2, Bacolod City, at about 3:43 a.m.  Sunday, June 28.

The confiscated illegal drugs were estimated to cost  P714,000.00.

Police identified the arrested suspect by her alias, “Ren,” a 29-year-old, single, and unemployed resident of Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2.

The  CDEU conducted monitoring and validation operations based on information that the suspect was allegedly engaged in the sale of illegal drugs in her neighborhood.

Investigators confirmed that she was reportedly serving as both a pusher and a keeper of illegal drugs.

A buy-bust operation was subsequently carried out after the suspect agreed to sell suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer through the assistance of a confidential informant, which directly led to her arrest.

During the operation, authorities recovered one sachet of suspected shabu as the buy-bust item, along with two additional sachets and two knot-tied transparent plastic bags of suspected shabu held in her possession.

The suspect was informed of her constitutional rights and is currently held under the custody of Police Station 2.

She faces  charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
