Bacolod cops nab 7 persons, seize P2M in shabu, marijuana

The Bacolod City police seized suspected shabu and dried marijuana worth P2 million and arrested seven individuals in separate operations Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 8 and 9.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested six persons in a buy-bust operation at Purok Star Apple 2, Brgy. 27, at about 10:31 a.m. Saturday.

Arrested were alias “Jennica”, 28, “Rocky”, 32, “Jingle”, 46, “Terence”, 39, “Kim”, 33, and “Marlon”, 39, the police reported.

Seized from them were 270 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,836,000, the police said.

They will face charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, alias “Dave”, 21, a resident Brgy. Estefania was also arrested with 1.5 kilograms of died marijuana leaves at about 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

The marijuana had an estimated street value of P225,000.

The suspect is not detained at Bacolod Police Station 4 and charges for violation of RA 9165 are being prepared against him.*
