
The Bacolod City Police arrested five individuals and seized suspected shabu and a firearm in separate buy-bust operations in Brgy. Singcang-Airport and Taculing on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 11 and 12.
Marcia Castorpe, Salvani Nietes, Jelbert Azuelo, and Marlo Templado Jr., identified as street-level targets, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, at about 11:57 p.m. on Monday, the police reported.
Recovered from them were five sachets of suspected shabu weighing three grams with an estimated street price of P20,400, the police said.
The suspects are now under the custody of Bacolod Police Station 8 while the seized drugs were brought to the Regional Forensics Unit (RFU) for examination.
Meanwhile, a firearm and suspected shabu were seized from Ronald Palma in a buy-bust operation in Sharina Heights Subdivision in Brgy. Taculing at about 3:41 a.m. Tuesday, the police reported.
Recovered from him were a heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu worth P3,400, various drug paraphernalia, a .38 caliber revolver, and five live ammunition, the police said.
The suspect violated Republic Act 10591 or the Guns and Ammunition Regulation Law, and R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, the police added.
He is now under the custody of Police Station 6 while the drug evidence was brought to the PNP-RFU.*
