
The police arrested two drug suspects and seized more than P1.6 million worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Bacolod City on Friday and Saturday, December 19 and 20.
The Bacolod City Police Office said the operations resulted in the confiscation of around 245 grams of suspected shabu with a total standard drug price of P1,666,000.
The first operation was conducted in Purok Magtiayon, Brgy. 10, Bacolod City, at about 5:44 p.m. Friday
The police said a 42-year-old woman, identified as a high-value individual, was arrested during the operation.
Authorities said around 230 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,564,000 were confiscated from the suspect.
The buy-bust was carried out by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit under police supervision.
The police also arrested a street-level individual in Purok Hollow Blocks, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, at 12:07 a.m. on Saturday.
The suspect was identified as a 43-year-old driver and resident of Murcia, Negros Occidental, police said.
Authorities confiscated around 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P102,000 during the operation.
Both suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
