Bacolod City gov’t allocates ₱199M in employee benefits

Mayor Greg Gasataya said he expects improved public service delivery as the Bacolod City Government begins releasing more than ₱199 million in financial benefits for city employees.

On Thursday, December 18, the mayor signed disbursement orders for the following incentives set for December release:

*₱45 million – Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) Incentive;
*₱30 million – Service Recognition Incentive (SRI);₱8.815 million – Productivity Incentive Allowance / Performance Enhancement Incentive (PIA/PEI); and
*₱25 million – Performance-Based Bonus (PBB)

These will go to regular and plantilla casual city government employees.

Job Order (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) workers will receive ₱7,000 each in gratuity pay, with a total allocation of ₱29.176 million.
It also includes ₱8.815 million in cash gifts for regular and casual employees who received ₱52.203 million in year-end bonuses last November.

To ensure smooth financial operations, the mayor secured Department of Finance approval to extend Acting City Treasurer Gary Gecosala’s appointment, which was set to expire this year.

He also thanked Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla for the agency’s swift approval of the Notice of Eligibility that allowed the PBB to be released within 2025.*
