Bacolod boosts peace and order with new fleet of 10 EV patrol cars

The Bacolod City Government Center has officially received 10 new Electric Vehicle (EV) patrol units, marking a major shift toward modernization and sustainability in local law enforcement.

These eco-friendly vehicles are set to be deployed to various police stations across the city.

The initiative, championed by Mayor Greg Gasataya, serves as a strategic response to the volatile global oil market, a press release from the Bacolod City Communications Office said on Thursday. April 23.

With the ongoing crisis in the Middle East causing unprecedented spikes in fuel prices, the move to EVs ensures that the city’s peace and order operations remain unhampered by fluctuating overhead costs, it said.*
