Bacolod City and 20 other local government units in Negros Occidental cancelled classes again on Tuesday, Sept. 17, because of expected heavy to intense rains.
Tropical Storm Pulasan was estimated to be 2,015 km east of Central Luzon but was still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 11 p.m. Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
There was a heavy rainfall outlook due to the Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Pulasan and Tropical Depression Gener, it said.
Pulasan will remain far from the Philippine landmass and will likely remain within the PAR until Wednesday noon, Pagasa said.
