Asenso Serbisyo Caravan serves 7,059 clients in first run across Third District

The Asenso Serbisyo Caravan, the district-wide quarterly mobile government services program of the Office of Negros Occidental Third District Rep. Javier Miguel “Javi” L. Benitez, served  7,059 clients in its first run, held in Victorias City, E.B. Magalona, Silay City, Talisay City, and Murcia from October 19 to 26.

Silay City recorded the highest turnout with 2,013 clients, followed by Murcia with 1,753, E.B. Magalona with 1,164 across two visits, Talisay City with 1,067, and Victorias City with 1,062, a press release from the office of Benitez said Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) served the most clients at 5,030, mostly for National ID and civil registration services.

The Social Security System (SSS) followed with 746 clients, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) with 389, the Pag-IBIG Fund with 380, the Local Civil Registrar’s Office with 289, and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) with 225.

The caravan brought the six agencies directly to the district’s cities and towns, opening on October 19 at the Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Arts and Cultural Center in Victorias City and closing on October 26 at the Murcia Public Plaza Covered Court.

At each stop, the PSA issued birth, marriage, and death certificates, CENOMAR, and CENODEATH and handled National ID registration, updating, and printing, while the Local Civil Registrar’s Office handled delayed birth registration.

The SSS assisted with contribution and loan inquiries, SSS number applications, web registration, My.SSS account resetting, membership record updates, the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners, and Payment Reference Number generation.

Pag-IBIG Fund personnel issued Loyalty Card Plus cards, processed membership registration and updates, and helped members with Virtual Pag-IBIG enrollment, online submissions, and inquiries on multi-purpose and housing loans.

The NBI processed new and renewal clearance applications, including free clearances for qualified first-time jobseekers under Republic Act No. 11261.

The Asenso Serbisyo Caravan will be held quarterly, with the next run set for January 2027, and the Third District office aims to bring more agencies into future runs, the press release said.*
