Meanwhile, Benitez said EB Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon is preparing the list of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino members in Negros Occidental, who along with him are set to resign from the party.

Benitez said he does not have a final decision on whether he will join the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas of President Ferdinand Marcos.

He is waiting for the Commission on Elections decision on the application of the Kilusan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP), which he leads, to be accredited as a   new political party.

They are hoping the KNP accreditation will be granted by the Comelec before the 2025 elections, Benitez said.
