The 303rd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army condemned the recent series of killings in Negros Occidental, including the murder of a peace advocate and public servant in Cauayan town, which authorities attributed to the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG).
Brig Gene. Ted Dumosmog, 303rd Brigade commander, on Sunday, Nov. 9, described the incidents as “cowardly acts of violence” that target civilians advocating for peace and progress.
“The CTG’s deliberate targeting of civilians, especially those who champion peace and public service, exposes their true nature as enemies of progress and humanity,” Dumosmog said.
He vowed that the 303rd Brigade will relentlessly pursue those responsible and bring justice to the victims.
“We will not allow terror to silence the voices of peace. Justice will be served, and the people of Negros will prevail,” Dumosmog added.
The Army called on Negrenses to remain united, vigilant, and supportive of peace and development initiatives to put an end to CTG atrocities in the province.*
