Vice Governor Jose Benito Alonso has been designated acting governor of Negros Occidental, while Board Member Genaro Alvarez IV is acting vice governor.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson issued an executive order appointing them to the posts while he is on official leave from August 21 to September 2.
Lacson said the designations are necessary to ensure the continuous and effective delivery of basic and social services in the province.*
