Almost P700K worth of drugs seized in Bacolod bust

Almost P700,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized while two persons, including a high-value individual, were arrested during a police buy-bust operation in front of a bank near Libertad Market in Barangay 31, Bacolod City, Sunday afternoon, September 19.

Police arrested suspected high-value individual Rolly Moncillo Asumbre of Barangay 14, Bacolod, and Inocentes Villanueva Posadas of Brgy Cabanbanan, Himamaylan City.

Their companion, Ericson Abillana, 29, of Brgy 40, remains at-large.

Recovered from the suspects were 20 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 100 grams and worth P680,000, the P1,000 buy-bust money, a coin purse, a waist bag, and white socks.

Also recovered from the suspects were a .22 caliber unlicensed revolver with one live ammunition and one taxi, police records showed.

The drugs will be turned over to the Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination, while the suspects are now in police custody, pending the filing of the drug charges.*
