An alleged member of the Aki Cuadra robbery hold-up group was shot dead at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City, Wednesday night.

Killed was Donald Joseph Casiano Jr. of Barangay Granada.

The victim just came from the wake of another alleged member of the group, who was abducted and killed weeks ago.

The victim was shot at close range by an unidentified man just after he crossed the road, Lt. Jonito Pastrana, deputy police chief of Police Station 2, said.

Recovered from the scene were five empty shells of a .45 caliber firearm. A motorcycle was also in the area before the victim was attacked.

Pastrana said the group allegedly figured in a misunderstanding after their leader, Arnold “Aki” Cuadra, was killed early this month.

The police said the victim’s Toyota Wigo was sighted in the areas where Cuadra and three of their companions were killed.

On January 7, three members of the group were abducted from Cuadra’s rented house in Villa Homes Subdivision, Barangay Vista Alegre.

Cuadra was able to escape but the unidentified suspects onboard two vehicles went after him.

All victims were found dead on January 8 in different locations in Bacolod City, Bago City and Murcia.*
