Alleged drug syndicate leader falls in Kabankalan

An alleged drug-syndicate leader fell in a buy-bust operation where authorities seized suspected shabu worth P217,600 in Brgy. Binicuil, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, on Election Day, October 30.

Crizza Joy Javellana, 33, was arrested in Purok Baganihan, Barangay Binicuil, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Western Visayas and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office reported Tuesday, October 31.

She was tagged as an alleged sub-leader of the Bogalon Drug Group, a notorious syndicate in south Negros.

Confiscated were 32 grams of suspected shabu, improvised drug paraphernalia, a coin purse, and other non-drug evidence, the PDEA report said.

Javellana will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the PDEA added.

She is now under the custody of PDEA-VI.*
