Albee joins forum to boost public service delivery

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged local chief executives on Friday, October 27, to forge international tie ups with their counterparts from other countries to learn best practices in improving the delivery of public services as he vowed for continuous government support.

The president spoke at a gathering, titled, “Philippine Mayors Forum: Innovation, Digital Governance, and Resiliency Building Towards Accelerated Implementation of the 2030 Agenda” at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Quezon City, Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez said.

“It’s an opportunity for us to boost our capacity and improve public service delivery,” Benitez said.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government held the Philippine Mayors Forum in collaboration with the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office and United Nations Development Programme.

Marcos said the forum was held to “harness the power of innovation, digital governance, and resiliency-building to ensure that the government can better respond to the demands of the times”.*
