About 1,000 security personnel are expected to be deployed during the highlights of the Dinagsa Festival in Cadiz City, Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. said on Tuesday, January 13.
Police, coast guard, and army personnel, along with force multipliers, will be deployed during the festival highlights on January 24 and 25, he said.
The mayor announced that among the entertainers during the festival will be well-known bands, including Hale and Kamikazee.
Escalante noted that there are several well-known personalities expected to join the celebration during the highlights, however, he is not naming them as they also wish to enjoy the festivities privately.
Escalante said he is inviting the public to join the Dinagsa Festival and experience the local culture.
The city government has allocated approximately P15 million for the festival.*
