There are 96 persons who sustained fireworks-related injuries in the Negros Island Region as of Thursday, January 2, the Department of Health NIR reported.
Negros Occidental had the highest number fireworks-related injuries at 59 followed by Bacolod City at 20, Negros Oriental – 16 and Siquijor – 2.
The DOH said 64 cases were for blast/burn injuries without amputation, 26 for eye injuries, two – exploded without dismemberment and eye injury, four – exploded body parts with amputation.*
