Three Negros Occidental residents are among the 433 bettors who won the P236,091,188.40 jackpot prize of the 6/55 Grand Lotto on Saturday, Jose Manuel Villagracia, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) provincial head, said on Tuesday, October 4.
There are also five winners of the jackpot prize from Negros Oriental, the PCSO reported.
This means they will each win P545, 245.24, minus 20 percent tax.
In Negros Occidental two winners placed their bets at lotto outlets in Bacolod City and one in Pontevedra, Villagracia said.
They will have to claim their winnings at the PCSO headquarters in Manila, he said.
There are 91 lotto outlets in Negros Occidental, 35 of which are in Bacolod City, he said.
An average 200,000 bets are made in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City a month worth P18 to P22 million, he added.*
