
The police arrested the 7th most wanted person in Negros Oriental, who was also listed as the top most wanted in Bayawan City, for qualified trafficking in persons on Tuesday, November 11.
The suspect was apprehended around 1:45 p.m. in Barangay Ubos, Bayawan City, by Bayawan City Police Station policemen with support from the 5th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion–Negros Island Region.
The police said the arrest was made by virtue of a warrant for violation of Republic Act 9208, or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended by R.A. 10364.
The suspect is now in police custody.
