Six hundred personnel from the Coast Guard District Southern Visayas completed three batches of Basic Life Support training held in Brgy. Calindagan, Dumaguete City, from November 24 to 29.
Coast Guard Nursing Service personnel facilitated the sessions in coordination with the District Staff for Education and Training.
CGDSV said the training is part of efforts to strengthen the emergency response capabilities of its units.
The course equipped participants with essential life-saving skills needed during maritime incidents, coastal emergencies, and humanitarian operations.
The district said the initiative forms part of its continuing push to improve operational readiness and build mission-ready responders across Southern Visayas.*
