
Six police officers in the Negros Island Region were recognized for their exemplary performance during a flag-raising ceremony at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Monday, Sept. 29.
The awarding was led by Police Regional Director PBGen. Arnold Thomas Ibay who commended the awardees for their diligence, professionalism, and commitment to public service.
Col. Emelie D. Santos received the Medalya ng Kasanayan for her leadership as Siquijor police director, earning her office outstanding ratings for three consecutive months in the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating.
Lt. Col. Antonio P. Benitez Jr. and Pat. Ramon R. Moquerio III were awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan for a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City that resulted in the arrest of a high-value target and the seizure of P746,449.60 worth of shabu.
Lt. Col. Terrence Paul R. Sta. Ana and SSgt. Joash B. Bompat received the Medalya ng Kagalingan for a manhunt operation in Victorias City that led to the arrest of the region’s top most wanted person for murder.
Ibay said the recognition is not only for individual achievement but also a testament to PRO NIR’s proactive policing against drugs and criminality, anchored on protecting lives, upholding the rule of law, and the pursuit of justice across the region.*
