The six elected City Councilors of Team Padayon in La Carlota City took their oaths of office before outgoing Mayor Rex Jalando-on following their proclamation.
The councilors who took their oaths include re-elected members Julius Martin Asistio, Akoy Sia, Jan-Jan Alvañez-Abad, and Stephen Simbit, former councilor Jegie Aguirre and first-timer Mark Threx Rojo.
The winners were proclaimed by lawyer . Johnnie Lou B. Dariagan-De La Cerna, chair of the Commission on Elections City Board of Canvassers, during a ceremony held at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14.
The Team Padayon Councilors will serve as the majority members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of La Carlota City, alongside League of Barangay President Annabelle Q. Bermudo and SK President Jelarie Jean M. Liansing, when they assume their respective positions at noon on June 30
