The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NORPPO) has installed six new police chiefs in a provincewide leadership reshuffle aimed at “strengthening command oversight and improving community-based policing”.

NORPPO Director Col. Criscente C. Tiguelo led the installation of incoming commanders in six key police units on Sunday, Nov. 30.

Lt. Col. Ser Ulrick Christian Gelera assumed command of the Guihulngan City Police Station, replacing Lt. Col. Lirio C. Coral.

Lt. Col. Romeo G. Cubo took over the Tanjay City Police Station from Lt. Col. Roland Desiree D. Lavisto.

Maj. Ranie S. Bantolio became the new chief of the Mabinay Municipal Police Station, succeeding Maj. Nelson B. Lamoco.

Maj. Nelson B. Lamoco moved to lead the Siaton Municipal Police Station, succeeding Capt. Benjamin J. Fuentes Jr.

Capt. Nelmer R. Miravalles assumed command of the Amlan Municipal Police Station, replacing Capt. Dino C. Padron.

Lt. Col. Roland Desiree D. Lavisto was installed as the new Force Commander of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, taking over from Maj. Ranie S. Bantolio.

Tiguelo said the new appointments reflect NOrPPO’s strategic focus on operational preparedness, leadership development, and strengthened public trust.

He emphasized that the mass turnover forms part of regular personnel movement designed to ensure effective law enforcement service across Negros Oriental.

NOrPPO said the new chiefs are expected to reinforce peace and order programs, enhance coordination with LGUs, and sustain community-oriented policing initiatives in their respective areas.*
