Five Negrenses were arrested and P68, 680 worth of suspected shabu was seized in three Negros Occidental cities from Friday to Saturday, September 15 to 17, the police reported.
Glendo Antonio, 40, and Leowel Figueroa, 30, were arrested with eight grams of suspected shabu valued at P54, 400 in Brgy. Rizal, Silay City, on Friday, the police said.
Lucky Chuck Sanchez, 30, was arrested with a gram of shabu valued at P6,800 in Sitio Cubay, Brgy. 6-A, Victorias City, early Saturday morning.
Elmar Ortencio was also arrested for illegal drugs and gun possession in Brgy. 10, Victorias, on Sunday.
Recovered from him was a tooter with suspected shabu residue, a .45 caliber pistol and magazine, and other non-drug items, the police said.
Meanwhile, Johnbert Matarong, 38, was arrested with 1.1 gram of shabu valued at P7,480 in Purok Paglaum, Brgy. Zone-2, Cadiz City, on Saturday, the police said.*
