The police arrested five persons and seized P115,600 worth of suspected shabu in buy-bust operations in the cities of Bacolod and Kabankalan in Negros Occidental on Tuesday, August 29.
Among the five arrested, three were tagged as high-value targets, the police reported.
Mark Anthony Peñaranda, 39, and Christian Jay Sales, 40, both tagged as high-value targets, were arrested in a pension house in Brgy. 3, Kabankalan City, Tuesday night.
Seized were 15 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams with an estimated price of P81,600, the police said.
They also seized three improvised drug tooters, buy-bust money, and other non-drug evidence.
In Bacolod City, three individuals, including a high-value target were also arrested in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. 21, Tuesday night.
Nabbed were Carter Olmedo, 41, alias “Kumpol”, Jomar De Asis, 34, alias “Buknoy”, and May Venus, 47, alias “Inday May”, the police said.
Olmedo was considered a high-value target and was also arrested in February 2021 in violation of Republic Act 9165 and is still under probation, the police added.
