The blessing and turnover of four customized police motorcycles for the Victorias PNP and a pickup for the City Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) led by Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez was held in Victorias City on Monday, December 5.
The PNP-Victorias headed by Lt. Col Roy Rodrigo Gutierrez and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office Acting Provincial Director PCOL Leo B. Pamittan received the motorcycles in behalf of the PNP-Victorias.
Meanwhile BPLO OIC Merlita Bayaban received the brand-new pick up.
The additional motorcycles for the PNP will improve police visibility, pave the way for more efficient and faster response to emergencies, deter crimes, and ensure public security, a press release from the Victorias City government said.
The service vehicle of the BPLO will be used for fast-track inspections conducted by the Joint Inspection Team, it added.
The city also launched its newly purchased movable LED wall to be utilized during the regular flag ceremony for visual support.
The LED wall at the Victorias Public Plaza Skating Rink will also function as a platform for the City to disseminate information and updates, the press release said.
Resolutions were also awarded to Jackie Lou Suarez of Barangay III for winning a bronze medal in the Women’s Doubles Event of the SEA Deaf Games Bowling Tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sirach Anne Magbanua for successfully passing the Geologist Licensure Examination and Karl Theodore Hiavia Zerrudo for winning bronze, silver, and three gold medals in the swimming competition during the Pintaflores Swimfest.
The Victorias City government also awarded the winners of the Search for Best Barangay Council for the Protection of Children or BCPC Functionality Assessment.
Barangays XIII, XIX-A, and X won first, second, and third place, respectively, the press release said.*
