The 3rd Kurit sa Layag painting contest winners were named after a fluvial procession in the waters fronting the Bantayan Park in Bago City, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, June 24,
The fluvial procession was held to mark the feast of the city’s patron saint, St. John the Baptist.
The winners with the best painted sails were:
*First prize -Cluster 4, composed of Barangays Don Jorge Araneta, Alianza, Caridad and Malingin;
*Second prize -Cluster 3, composed of Barangays Abuanan, Atipuluan, Taloc and Tabunan; and
*Third prize -Cluster 5, composed of Barangays Sampinit, Balingasag, Busay and Napoles.*
