33 more barangays in Negros, Bacolod declared drug-cleared

There are 43 new drug-cleared barangays in Western Visayas, 33 of which are in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 announced Friday, Dec. 15.

Of the 43 drug cleared barangays Bacolod has 3, Negros Occidental – 30, Iloilo Province – 3, Capiz – 5 and Antique – 2.

The report, which did not name the barangays, came after the 50th Regional Oversight Committee Deliberation on the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (ROC-BDC) in Iloilo City on Thursday, Dec. 14

Western Visayas is now 92.35 percent drug cleared, with only 310 barangays out of 4,051 remaining to be deliberated on, the PDEA said.*
