3 Silay cops get medals, 2 police stations honored 

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office awarded three police officers the “Medalya ng Kadakilaan” and recognized two police stations during the kick-off of the 29th Police Community Relations Month at the NOCPPO Grandstand at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr., Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, Monday, July 1. 

NOCPPO awarded the “Medalya ng Kadakilaan”  to Silay City Police Chief Mark Anthony Darroca, his deputy Maj. Rhea Sarah Villanueva, and Cpl. German Alolosan for their successful buy-bust operation in Brgy. Mambulac on March 1. 

The operation resulted to the arrest of a high-value drug individual and recovery of 157.567 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,071,455.6. 

NOCPPO also recognized the Silay City Police Station as the top-performing component city police station in the province after getting a 96.66 percent Unit Performance Evaluation Rating in February. 

Meanwhile, the E.B. Magalona Police Station was named the top-performing municipal police station for getting 94.77 percent UPER in February as well. 

The Police Regional Office-6 also announced that NOCPPO was the top performing police unit in the region for June. 

The police provincial office received a 97.94 percent UPER, which was released on June 30.*
