
Three men were killed in separate shooting incidents in Negros Occidental during the weekend.
Killed at Abada Escay in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, on Sunday, April 3, was Edgar John Mendoza, 36.
The victim was outside his home when the suspect identified as Darry Dasa of the village allegedly approached him and shot him dead with an unknown firearm.
Mendoza sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was declared dead by the responding rescue personnel.
The suspect, who was previously caught by the police for theft, is at large.
In Barangay Taloc, Bago City, jeepney driver Jerry Pasiolan, 56, was gunned down by an unidentified suspect who pretended to be his passenger on Sunday.
The victim succumbed to the two gunshot wounds to his head.
On Saturday, April 2, Yuki Castro, 31, was shot dead at Barangay Bata, Bacolod by an unknown suspect.
The victim sustained a lone gunshot wound to his chest causing his instantaneous death.
Police have yet to establish the motive for the killings.*
