3 Omicron-hit Negros ROFs recovered: Diaz

The three Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) from Negros Occidental who tested positive for the COVID-19 Omicron variant have recovered, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Friday, January 28.

The three male ROFs from Sipalay City, La Carlota City and Silay City were quarantined on their arrival in the Philippines in December and had recovered by the time they arrive in Negros Occidental in January, he said.

The three, who were fully vaccinated, arrived from Dubai, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Negros Occidental had 395 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Friday, the Provincial Incident Management Team reported.

The province has 2,903 active cases, it added.

Bacolod City had 149 new COVID-19 cases for a total of 2,388 active cases on Friday, the Department of Health reported.*
