The police arrested three Negrenses and confiscated suspected marijuana and shabu worth more than P117,000 in separate buy-bust operations in Murcia and San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Saturday, Aug. 30.
In Murcia, alias “Jan”, 23, of Sun Rising Village, Kabankalan City, was arrested in Purok Triple R, Brgy. Alegria, around 5:30 p.m.
He was caught selling a sachet of suspected marijuana to a poseur-buyer.
Recovered from him were six plastic sachets of suspected marijuana weighing about 145 grams, with an estimated value of P17,400.
He is now detained at the Murcia Police Station and faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, two suspects identified as alias “St.”, 29, and alias “Mark”, 19,of Brgy. 6, San Carlos City, were arrested in a buy-bust operation at Pantalan, Zone 1, Saturday afternoon.
The police seized four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 14.67 grams, with an estimated value of P99,756.
The two suspects are under the custody of the San Carlos City Police Station, while the seized drug evidence was turned over to the Negros Occidental Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.*
