3 killed on Holy Week

Three persons were killed during Holy Week in two cities and a town in Negros Occidental.

A Talisaynon was allegedly shot by a Bantay Bukid member in Sitio Malasaga, Brgy. Katilingban, Talisay City, on Black Saturday, April 19.

Alias “Arnold”, 43, of Hacienda Hiyanghiyang in Brgy. Katilingban was shot by alias “Judgie”, a Bantay Bukid member, the police reported.

Alias “Neil”, also a Bantay Bukid member, said he and the suspect were on duty at the entrance of the Malasaga Falls and the victim and his brother were about to pass by them.

The suspect approached them and without any provocation shot the victim multiple times while his brother ran away, Neil said.

During a body check on the victim, the police recovered a .22 caliber Magnum with five live ammunition from him.

BINALBAGAN

A man was found dead by the roadside with multiple stab wounds in Sitio Alindasao, Brgy. Bi-ao, Binalbagan, also on Black Saturday, the police reported.

Found dead was alias “Robert”, 47, of Sitio Binadlan, Brgy Bia-o.

The brother of the victim was informed by his neighbors that his brother was found dead, the police said.

The victim sustained multiple stab wounds.

SAN CARLOS CITY

A man was found dead beside a river with a gunshot wound in the head in Sitio Bairan, Brgy. Buluangan, San Carlos City, on Tuesday, April 15.

The victim was described only as a 44-year-old man.

The police investigator-on-case has identified alias “Pal-it” as a person of interest in the crime.

The suspect was the last person seen with the victim before he was found dead, the police said.*
