
Three persons died in road crashes involving motorcycles in Negros Occidental on Monday, April 27.
In Brgy. Guintubhan, Isabela, Negros Occidental, a 44-year-old man identified as alias “Dan” died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck at around 6:30 p.m.
Police said the motorcycle driven by alias “Ar-ar,” 20, swerved to avoid a pedestrian, entered the opposite lane, and collided with a Toyota Hilux.
The driver sustained injuries, while his back rider was declared dead on arrival due to severe head injuries.
In Brgy. Baga-as, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, a 24-year-old man identified as alias “Ison” also died after his motorcycle collided with a truck at around 3:13 p.m.
Investigation showed the victim lost control of his motorcycle and hit the rear of an oncoming truck, resulting in severe injuries, including the amputation of his left arm.
Meanwhile, in Brgy. Dolis, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, a 19-year-old student identified as alias “Ferdie” died after his motorcycle at around 2 p.m. collided head-on with a van.
Police said the victim lost control of his motorcycle before hitting the oncoming vehicle, causing fatal head injuries.
All injured victims were brought to nearby hospitals, while the drivers of the other vehicles and the units involved were taken into police custody for proper disposition.*
