Three men were arrested and a drug den was dismantled in a buy-bust operation in Purok Pag-Asa, Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Saturday, Aug. 30.
The suspects were identified as alias “Edgar,” 54, a meat vendor; alias “Gerald,” 37, an e-bike driver; and alias “Peter,” 40, a messenger.
All are residents of Brgy. Estefania.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Negros Island Region and PNP Drug Enforcement Group operatives confiscated 19 sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 16 grams.
The estimated value of the seized shabu was P108,000.
Also seized were buy-bust money, glass tooters with shabu residue, disposable lighters, cash believed to be drug proceeds, and other non-drug evidence.
The suspects are detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
