2,940 register in QVID Sipalay

A total of 2,940 Sipalay, Negros Occidental, residents have registered in the city’s QVID (Quick Response to Various Infectious Diseases) system as of today, February 9.

QVID is the digital mobile application suite of Sipalay City for easier and faster contact tracing of residents who have come in contact with COVID-19 positive persons.

“The Local Government Unit of Sipalay City is asking for the cooperation of all the Sipalaynons to be part of this initiative and help keep ourselves, family and friends safe,” it appealed on its Facebook page.

The city government also reported that 133 Sipalay residents have been hit by COVID-19, 127 of whom recovered and three died.

The city as of Monday, February 8, had three active COVID-19 cases.*
