
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led the distribution of housing materials and food assistance to the owners of 2,368 typhoon “Odette” destroyed houses in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, on Monday, January 10.
The provincial government provided each of the 2,368 recipients with six corrugated GI sheets, two plain GI sheets, five kilos of rice and four cans of corned beef/meat loaf, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said.
The distribution covered all 17 barangays in Sipalay City.
The beneficiaries in the following barangays are Cartagena – 230, Canturay – 175, San Jose – 109, Gil Montilla – 505, Nauhang – 116, Brgy 1 – 2, Brgy 2 – 72, Brgy 3 – 40, Brgy 4 – 60. Brgy 5 – 40, Mabaruto – 86, Cabadiangan – 199, Manlucahoc – 171, Cabadiangan – 132, Maricalum – 169, Cayhagan – 123 and Nabulao -139.
Sipalay City was the worst hit by Typhoon Odette in Negros Occidental.*
