
Twenty individuals tested positive for illegal drugs during the conduct of Oplan Harabas 2026, a random drug testing operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Negros Island Region (PDEA-NIR) in coordination with the Land Transportation Office–Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR), on Thursday, Jan., 29
The operation was conducted at the Dumaguete Transport Terminal, Dumaguete Ceres Terminal, and Bypass Road, Zone 2, Barangay Looc, with 96 personnel deployed, including 18 from LTO-NIR.
A total of 193 transport workers were subjected to drug testing, with the positive results involving 14 truck drivers, a truck helper, a jeepney driver, 3 tricycle drivers, and an e-trike driver, the LTO-NIR reported.
Proper documentation and required procedures were undertaken for those who tested positive, it said.
Individuals who initially test positive will undergo confirmatory testing, and those who test positive upon confirmation will l be subject to appropriate administrative sanctions in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
