Two persons were stabbed to death in San Carlos City and Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, on Friday, August 11.
Raymund Ellima, 39, was stabbed multiple times after a heated argument at San Juan Tunga, Brgy. 5, San Carlos City, Friday morning, the police said.
The heated argument ensued between Ellima and the suspect identified as Reynaldo Flores, alias “Purontoy”, 39, a garbage collector from Barangay 5.
The suspect allegedly drew an improvised ice pick and stabbed the victim several times on different parts of his body.
The victim was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital but was pronounced dead, the police said.
Flores is now detained at the San Carlos Police Station.
Meanwhile, Jing Paul Casiple was also stabbed to death in Purok Matawgay, Brgy. Binicuil, Kabankalan City.
Casiple, 41, a laborer from Binicuil was allegedly stabbed by Loreto Iligan Jr., 39, during a heated argument, the police said.
The suspect stabbed the victim in the neck, the police said.
The victim was rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital for medical treatment but was later declared dead.
Iligan is now detained at the Kabankalan Police Station.*
