
Two of Negros Oriental’s most wanted men were arrested in separate police operations on Saturday, Aug. 23.
At around 7:48 p.m. in Brgy. 3, Siaton, operatives of the Siaton Municipal Police Station arrested the No.1 Most Wanted Person at the municipal level and No. 7 at the provincial level for Qualified Rape.
The suspect was collared by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Angela Charina Mendoza Cortes-Garces of RTC Branch 33, Dumaguete City, under Criminal Case No. 2025-31085.
No bail was recommended and the accused is now in the custody of the Siaton police.
Later that evening, at 10:05 p.m. the Jimalalud police arrested another fugitive ranked as the No. 1 Most Wanted at the municipal level and No. 6 at the provincial level for Acts of Lasciviousness.
The suspect was apprehended in an operation that was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued by RTC Branch 45, Bais City, with bail recommended at P200,000.
The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office Provincial Director Col. Ronan R. Claravall said that the arrests highlight the intensified drive to bring fugitives of heinous crimes to justice and ensure safer communities in the province.*
