Two minors drowned in a beach at Barangay Sampinit in Bago City, Negros Occidental, Sunday, May 22.
The victims were among the five friends who went to the beach for a swim, but the waters quickly rose due to high tide.
Police said the three were able to swim ashore, but the two, who were at the deep portion of the water, drowned.
Citizens rescued the victims who were brought to the Bago City Hospital but they were both declared dead on arrival.*
