Two men were injured after being hacked during a heated argument in Purok 7, Malipayon, Brgy. Bulata, Cauayan, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
The police identified the victims as a 53-year-old laborer and a 34-year-old resident of Purok 7, while the suspect was identified as alias “Lucas,” 50,.
The police said the suspect passed by while the victims were having a drinking session, and a heated argument later ensued.
The suspect then drew a bolo and hacked both men before fleeing.
The victims were rushed to the Merceditas J. Montilla District Hospital in Sipalay City for medical treatment.
The Cauayan police immediately conducted a pursuit operation and arrested the suspect, who is now under their custody.*
