2 men injured in stabbing during drinking session

Two men were injured in a stabbing incident during a drinking session in Brgy. 9, Isabela, Negros Occidental, on Sunday night, March 29.

Police said the victims, aged 33 and 27, were brought to a hospital with stab wounds.

Investigation showed the incident started as a drinking session that escalated into a violent confrontation.

Authorities said a neighbor identified as alias “Jon,” 51, tried to intervene but later seized a knife and stabbed the victims.

The older victim sustained stab wounds to the stomach and head and was transferred to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City for further treatment.

The other victim sustained an injury to his arm and remains confined at Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. District Hospital.

The suspect is now under police custody.*
